Yummy For Your Tummy Bags

This bag is a sample of the goodie bags I made for my stamp campers last week! I started to make a little homemade treat of Peanut Clusters but my chocolate burned! That has never happened to me before! :( So I ran out and bought some peanut brittle to put in the bags. The little stamp is from the "Yummy" stamp set in the Sale-a-bration mini catalog that you can see here.

Alison's Valentine's Cards

Aren't these great? Alison always does such a great job with her cards! As a matter of fact, she will be making a card for us to do at our March Stamp Camp. I can't wait to see what she comes up with! Thanks for sharing, Alison!!

February Stamp Camp Cards

The new DS paper Rockability is so awesome! The gloss on the paper is so cool! I wish you could see it better from this card. The whole packet is great! The new eyelet border punch is also a new favorite of mine! Each catalog they are coming up with some new things that I just love and this is one of those things! The stamp set is "Big on Spring".
As much as I love deep purple, I never seem to use Elegant Eggplant card stock or ink. I stick with the same old favorites. I forced myself to make this card and actually it turned out pretty good. The silver balls actually look like pearl in this picture, but the compliment the color well. The stamp sets I used were "On Your Birthday" and "Doodle This".

Here is that nifty little box again! I think the gals had a good time making this. The scallop circle stamp is from the set "Love You Much". We used blender pens and ink pads to softly color it in. The tag saying came from the Sale-a-bration set "Yummy"!!
I love the simplicity of this card. This card is a good design if you need to make multiples!! The "Fifth Avenue Floral" stamp set is my new favorite. The DS paper the coordinates with this is Urban Oasis. It is sheik and fresh! Especially with these two colors!! I think I will make more of this card and send them to a friend!! :D
What can I say about not only the great color palate of DS paper "Raspberry Tart", but the wonderful, beautiful new stamp set "Branch Out". I will use this stamp set for many years to come!
So there you have it... Stamp camp make and takes, minus one card. I will post that later. Hope to see you on March 9th for our next camp!

Happy Birthday???

Well, it is my birthday today and it sure has been great!! Starting off with a little surprise breakfast from my tennis team, lunch with a good friend and well...yes... a little stamping! Top it off with dinner with my two favorite people (Mark and Taylor) and that makes it the perfect day!

The card in this picture started off with a little piece of scrap paper. I just wanted to see how this stamp would look on printed paper and I ended up liking it enough to use it in a card and this is what I came up with! The stamp is from retired set, "Finest Flourishes" and the words are from "On Your Birthday". Pretty cute for just messing around! What a great day! Life is good! ;)

Forever Friends

This is one of those stamp sets that I just loved and it retired before I ever got to show it at stamp camp. The "forever friends" is from "Beautiful Borders" and the leaves are from "Finest Flourishes". A beautiful set that retired too quickly for me!! I really like the simplicity of this card. Sometimes, simpler is better. I will be sending this to a dear friend for her birthday!! This next card is completely done with "Beautiful Borders". I like it too, but the dimensions were off for me. I think I should have made it into a 5x7 card. Oh well! Thought I would post it anyway.

Classy Valentine

I made this Valentine and 4 others just like it for Taylor's math tutor who will be giving them away with a donation for several causes. I can't remember if it was for the Rotary Club or another club, but I was happy to do it. I need to make 5 more of a different style. I like having a project like this. I used Bravo Burgundy, Gold and Basic Black card stock. Gold Encore pad with the "Always" and retired "Wonderful Words" stamp sets. Gold embroidery thread was circled around the heart. I actually think the card is prettier in person. I think I need to retake the picture with a white background. I just don't have the time to do it again... After tennis season! I am sorry to all of you that I have had to cancel stamp camp. I never guessed that this month would get so crazy for me. Hope you are stamping at home and will be ready for February's Stamp Camp!!

Let's Play!

Check out this new "Jack Pot" Designer Serier paper and "Game Night" stamp set. The "You're Invited" came from "Sincere Salutations". I guess I could have printed up a whole mock invitation, but I just left it blank. I just love this paper! There is so much you can do with it. I can't wait to use it for Bunko at my house in February. I am not sure what for yet, but I will figure something out! I can't wait for you all to see the new catalog! I am sure you will start sticky noting every page like I did!

Chipboard Love!

I have all this chipboard and I store it away and forget to use it! So I pulled it out today and inked it up with the Riding Hood Red pad and a sponge. The card actually looks better in person. The lighting didn't work well with this card, but I still like it. My goal this year is to use up all the extra "stuff" I own this year...like chipboard! ;) Oh yeah! I got my new catalogs yesterday! My wish list is three pages long! The new dies for the Sizzex are awesome!

Happy Heart Day

I am so pleased with this card. It is from the stamp set "Happy Heart Day". I surprised myself! The cardstock is Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and the DS paper from the Bella Rose paper packet. The ribbon is also Kiwi Kiss. Have a great winter day! :)

More Love You Much!

It is going to be a busy week, so I decided to do two posts today. Does the layout of the first card look familiar?? Click here to see what I am talking about. Scroll down to the third card. If you see a layout that you like, you can use it with anything! I really like the Bella Rose paper and I think it is perfect for Valentine cards. I will pick one of these two layouts to make at stamp camp!! Oh, we will have fun! It is going to get very cold here this week. It will be great to bundle up in a cozy sweatshirt and stamp...after cleaning the whole house and getting all the laundry done, of course! ;) Ha Ha!

Valentine Goodie Box

This is about one of the easiest boxes that I have ever made! Can you believe that this box is made out of this little hand-dandy envelope from our Sizzix die cuts. Click here to see what envelope I am talking about. Click here to view the die itself. The stamp set is from the "Love You Much" Valentine Bundle. I used my blender pen with Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette stamp pads. The stamp perfectly fits the scallop circle, so it was so very easy to make this box look cute! We will be making this cute box or one similar to it at this month's stamp camp. From what I understand, we are getting some great new dies for the Big Shot in this new catalog. I just got word that my catalogs shipped. I will be anxiously waiting for my favorite man in that big brown truck! I am looking forward to seeing you all on the 21st! Until then, happy stamping!!

Celtic Knots - Retired

Sorry this picture is a little crooked. I had the retired set "Celtic Knots" for sale last week and no one picked it up. Thankfully for me, because I needed for this Sympathy card. My friend lost her Grandmother this weekend. :( Once again I pulled out that Night of Navy card stock and paired it with Old Olive. The "with sympathy" came with the Beautiful Borders set. I was making cards this weekend and am not sure I am too happy with any of them. I will decide whether or not to share them today.. Have a good one!

Love You Much!

It's funny to me that I could go almost a whole year without using Night of Navy card stock and once I pull it out, I continue to want to use it! The stamp is from the new "Love You Much" stamp set. The Love You Much Bundle is on sale until January 31st. I like showing that a "Valentine" stamp set can be used for so much for than Valentines!!

A Little Somethin'

Good morning! I finally had a little time to get into my craft room to stamp. My husband has been adding some shelves for me, (love him!!), so it has been a mess this past week. This first card is from a really cool NEW hostess Level 2 stamp set from the new catalog called "A Little Somethin' ". All stamps in this set are sized to perfectly be punched from a variety of SU! punches.
On this card I used the 1 3/4 punch with Spellbinders Nestabilites for the larger circle and scallop. I really like how the Night of Navy card stock made this card pop! I am going to use that color more this year! I get stuck on certain color combos and I need to design outside my box!! :)

My sister has a birthday coming up, so I made this easy little card for her with the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White and So Saffron card stock, Riding Hood Red ribbon and the ticket punch.

Have you noticed?

If you have been visiting my blog the last few days, you might have noticed that I have been playing around with my backgrounds. The last background made things a bit too busy and it was hard to focus on the words. This one is a little simpler and I think I am going to keep it! Hope you like it! Can't wait for everyone to be back on schedule again so I can get to making some cards!!! Hope you have gotten to stamp over the holidays!

Time to write "Thank Yous"

Time to write all the "Thank Yous" for all the wonderful Christmas goodies and gifts. I bought a bunch of this felt ribbon from the Holiday Mini Catalog and to be quite honest, I wasn't sure I would like it, but it really did look cute with Frosty Day DS paper, also from the mini catalog. If you ever think that you might not like something...try it! You might be surprised!!

Photo Share...

Since I have not had a single moment to get creative, I thought I would share a few photos...
This is Taylor with my parents who live in Las Vegas. We went out there for Thanksgiving and it rained the whole time! I thought it never rained in the desert? It snowed there this week! Crazy! It was great being with them and of course it was so good to eat my mom's cookin'!

A good friend took a bunch of photos of Taylor and the dogs in our back yard for our Christmas Cards...This is the photo I picked. Of course, Harley sat there perfectly and Kinley barked at nothing, moved around, etc. I am surprised we even got these photos!!

They did well in this picture too!! Hasn't Kinley gotten so big!

Cathy's Work Day Cards

My dear friend, Cathy made 3 sets of cards to give out as gifts during our work day, today! Aren't they great? All paper, no stamps. What a great way to use your paper and allow the cards to be used however the receiver wants to by leaving them blank! Perfect! I believe this paper was from the Spring Silhouettes Designer Series paper pack from the Spring and Summer catalog. Love how she incorporated the scallop edge punch into the design! What a productive day, Cathy!! :)

Snow Swirled

This morning is the last of my stamp camps until January. It isn't really a stamp camp, it is a work day and I will be working on my cards as well. I made these two cards late last night and I can't decide if I like either of them enough to send to my family. I do love the red and cream striped ribbon!! I also like this tree a little too much. Maybe I need to try a different stamp set? Of course the ones that I send to everyone else will be much less detailed and will include of picture of my daughter with the dogs. I guess I will go back to the drawing boards.

Close to Nature

Okay! So it took me longer than a couple of hours! :)
The stamp set I used below is: Close to Nature. It is retired, but a beautiful little set.
Happy Stamping!!

Frosty Day Paper and Thanksgiving Cards

As much as I love the fall and all it's colors, Thanksgiving cards are probably the hardest for me to put together. Maybe it is because there isn't ever any real awesome Thanksgiving stamps? I started one and it was way too detailed to make 8 of, which is how many different families there are in my family, so I settled for something a bit easier. The Frosty Day paper was perfect for something "not so" traditional. That paper set reminds me of some real great colorful scarves. I used two retired sets to make this card.. SHHHH! I know! The words came from last years "Dotted Autumn" set and the pine cone came from...ahhh...give me a couple of hours to get back to the craft room to list it. It's too early and I need my coffee first. LOL! Anyway, I water colored the pine cone in with Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip. Wow! I better go get my coffee! Be back in a couple of hours. :)

More Christmas Cardinal

I used this layout last Christmas for a card we made at Stamp Camp and I have been wanting to try it again. It took me a year to get around to it! LOL! This time I made it into a 5X7 card. I wasn't too keen on this paper and have neglected using it, but I really like how it all turned out. I used the Old Olive and Ruby Red stamp pads to water color the cardinal with the blender pen. I just think he (the bird) is so pretty that he deserves water coloring and nothing else. Maybe I should try some chalks next time I stamp him just to see what it will look like. I also used the Hodgepodge hardware from the last catalog. I should have used something current. Oh well! Have a good evening and Happy Stamping!!!! :)

Green Tea and Kinley

I have been making so many holiday cards that I wanted to take a break and since a good friend of mine is having a birthday, it gave me an excuse to break free from the holidays for an hour or so... I have always loved blues and greens together. The "Green Tea" paper is just so pretty!! Don't you think? I made the second card just because I had all the paper out. :)
This last picture is just a picture I have been wanting to share but have been forgetting to pull it up. Kinley spent an hour or so excitedly barking at a dog that was visiting our neighbors. There was no quieting him down or even catching him to bring him in. Once I finally rounded him up and got him back into the house, this is what happened. He fell asleep drinking water! Isn't that just the cutest darned picture you have ever seen? Can't help but just love him to pieces!! :)

A Cardinal Christmas

I don't know about you but I am SO ready to get this darn election over with. I can't even watch t.v. anymore. The negativity is about to kill me. Thank goodness I voted early! If you feel the same way I do... turn off the t.v. and go stamp! I plan to! That is much more peaceful. I am going to watch a movie tonight and just wake up in the morning to find out who won. I just can't take it anymore! Whew! Okay then, that was my soapbox for the day.... So how about this card?

I can't believe that I made two beautiful cards and put them in an envelope and mailed them without taking a picture of them! UGG! I really enjoyed water coloring this card. I used the Riding Hood Red and Mellow Moss ink refills along with the blender pens to paint the cardinal in. I need to try this method more often. It turned out beautiful. My "Merry Christmas" was a little crooked, but this was just a sample card for me to keep, so I wasn't real worried about it.
Hope your day is filled with stamping!

Many Merry Messages

It is getting cold here! BRRRR!! It isn't expected to last into the weekend, thankfully!! The one thing I love about living in Georgia is that it usually isn't very cold on Halloween night! Some years, it has been down right warm! I just love the fall! It is my favorite season and when I feel the best! The smell of wood burning, sound of football, a cozy sweater! Love it all!

As for the card....I know the colors are more fall than the traditional Christmas colors, but I wanted to try something a little different. Besides, there are so many non-traditional colors being used for holiday decorations these days. The word set "Many Merry Messages" is just perfect to use all by itself and that is exactly what I wanted to do. I will be using this set for several years to come. I love adding a little "bling" at the end of all those SU! cursive words with the long tails!! :) Just adds enough to make it interesting!!
Have a happy fall day! Hope you get some time to stamp!

Santa Rub On

I just got back from the most wonderful weekend of scrap booking! My friends and I have been "going away" for the past 3 1/2 years just to scrapbook. What a super, great time. I finished 16 pages!! I was very happy and didn't want it to end!! :(

Okay, on to the card!! Isn't he the most beautiful Santa you have ever seen. He is a rub on from the Holiday Mini Catalog. The rub-on package is "Old Saint Nick" on page 11. He was so gorgeous that I didn't want to put anything else on the card. The card stock colors are Very Vanilla, Bravo Burgundy and Brushed Gold. I think it is elegant enough to leave like this.

Photo Cards

So many of you want to include a picture with your Christmas card. You can still be creative and include a picture. I just love this first card. The white rub on just makes the card..oops, sorry, Taylor!! You make the card beautiful!!

I reprinted this picture of Taylor and her cousin, Katelyn for another sample. Look how easy it is to personalize the inside of the card with a personalized name stamp! You can see the personalized name stamp options on page 159 of the catalog. Start thinking about what you might need so that you can get your cards done in time!! Christmas is just around the corner!! :)

Creativity Unleashed!

Okee dokee! So, Monday was probably the most frazzled I have ever been preparing for a stamp camp... Don't know why, I just was. This little project (which I saw here) never got done in advance, so I ended up making it for the first time in front of the group... Not usually like me! Sorry gals!!
Jodi (pictured on the right) brought Paula (on the left) to stamp camp for the first time on Monday. They are pictured here holding that last minute project and just look how creative they got with it! SO CUTE!! They added hair (feathers) and pupils out of the Trio Flower Punch. It was so cute, I just had to take a picture of their creativeness!! Way to go, girls! Love it!

Labels:

Punch Me a Turkey!!!

Okay, so I saw this cute little turkey in a Stampin' Up! magazine that I get every month. For the feathers, they used the scallop punch and folded it to make it look 3 dimensional. My sample didn't turn out so cute. Glue was caked everywhere! I was about to give up when I thought I might try the 5-petal flower punch and voila! It worked!! I am sure you all can figure out what punches I used to make this fella, so I won't list them... Gobble, gobble!!

Labels:

Some of my FAVORITE cards!!!

I think these are my favorite cards because I just love, love, love this Christmas tree stamp from "Snow Swirled" on page 32 of the regular catalog. There is just no way to mess it up! It is gorgeous all by itself. This first card, I think, looks great with the "Ski Slope" designer series paper in the background.
This next card is our stamp camp card. Look how pretty the tree looks with a little bling!!! I think it looks so elegant. This is my favorite card of the month! I used the gold Encore pad to make it look more formal. It did the trick! Yay!! The card stock I used was Baja Breeze, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla.

This is a card I copied from Nancy Riley over at iStamp. She is a favorite stamper of mine that I follow. Check out her blog! I love it! Like Nancy, I used a rub-on for the greeting. The rub-ons are so great! This rub-on came from "Season of Cheer". Also in the mini catalog.

Labels:

Deck The Halls

Here is another Stamp Camp card. The stamp set is "Deck the Halls" and the greeting is from "All Holidays". I love "All Holidays" stamp set collection because it covers everything!! The paper is from the "Holiday Treasures" 12x12 set. The ribbon, Riding Hood Red and the background card stock is Chocolate Chip.

Labels:

Winter Post

This is the card we made at Stamp Camp. "Winter Post" is one of my favorite new stamp sets! There is so much you can do with this set. For the greeting, I used "Heard from the Heart". This was also the first time I have gotten to use our fun little felt snowflakes. I think this card came together well. The following cards are ones that I just displayed.

The ornament pictured here came from the Holiday Mini Catalog as well. I plan on making all of the ornaments from "On Board Trinkets" with Taylor. What a fun, winter day project to do with the kids!! :)

My Favorite Subject!!

Not hard to figure out... Taylor....

I reprinted some old pictures and used them for scrapbook and card samples. We did this scrapbook layout this week at stamp camp. These are my favorite pictures taken from my brother-in-law and sister-in-law's wedding. Here I used my fun, new and favorite machine... The Big Shot! Check it out by clicking on the Holiday Mini Catalog to the left. I used the "Join in the Cheer Decorative Strip Die and the Sizzlits die, "Swirls Scribbles". Both can be found in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Where Do I Start?

Gosh, I am so far behind on my blog that now I am playing catch up and I don't know where to start! I have done a few grouping of cards so that my stamp campers can see a little bit of a variety, so I think I am going to have to start with a "Season to Share" adhesive kit. I love these new kits! Be sure to check them out on pages 182-183 in the catalog. They are so great if you are running off to a party or need a card or tag in a hurry! Here are just a few samples...

Where Have I Been???

Not in my stamp room! Busy, busy, busy! This weekend Taylor went to a Murder Mystery birthday party... "Killing for the Crown". She had to dress up like Miss Wisconsin. I only got a few pictures. This wasn't everyone. She had a blast! Taylor is 3rd from the right. What a fun idea!! I hear Miss Arizona was the murderer!! :0
Then Sunday we went to see some World Team Tennis hosted by Billy Jean King and Elton John. All $$ went an Aids foundation. It was so much fun. I am asking for a new camera so that I can take better pictures. Here is the best I have... First is of Roddick playing with Elton John, who, by the way is a pretty good tennis player. We were pleasantly surprised!! (SMILE)

Anna Kournikova...she is TINY!!

Extraordinary Craft Closet!!

My mother-in-law, Cathy, is very creative! She has been stamping for about as long as I have, but has been on a little hiatus because she didn't have the proper space to work. We all know that it is a pain to drag out boxes every time we need to make a card. So, this room has been a long time comin'! My father-in-law, Bill, just finished this wonderful new craft closet in a walk-in closet in their house! I am so excited for her. She even got new hardwood floors in the space. This goes to show you that you don't need a lot of room to have a good workspace.

Okay, mom!! I can't wait to see what you create!! Next is learning how to get your pictures on the computer so that you can share your cards with me and others. Oh yeah! Happy Stamping!!!! :)XOXO!!

Happy Birthday Card

I have been wanting to dig into some more of my Designer Series Paper. This printed paper is Maine Blueberry. I love it! Not Quite Navy looks so good with it! I used the Fresh Cuts Stamp Set and the Big Birthday Candle for the words. The paper in this catalog and the Holiday Mini are crazy good! I can't wait to pull out the new Ski Slope paper for some cards. The pictures in the catalog never do it justice. You have to see it in person to see how beautiful it really is! I will try to find some time later today to do more! As for now... it's off to do laundry! Get creative today, will you! Happy Stamping! ;)

September Stamp Camp

I love this picture! What a great looking group of stampers!! Welcome to your first stamp camp Jackie and Leslie! Hope you had fun! Cathy looks cute with the Grim Reaper hugging her!! Too funny! Below are a few cards and goodies that we made at stamp camp.

This was fun to make and so easy! The test tubes came from Michaels. I knew I wanted to use them, but was having the hardest time finding something fun to do with them... then I spotted this on Lisa Summerville's blog. Click here to find her pattern. I modified the pattern to fit one test tube. I will post the pattern shortly.

Didn't this card turn out cute? This is my favorite card that we made today. I love the colors and the glitter!!
Isn't it amazing what you can create with punches. Here we used all 3 oval punches, the word window punch and the horizontal slot punch. This card reminds me of the pumpkin patch in the Charlie Brown Halloween movie. Thanks for a fun day, ladies! Mark your calendars for October's stamp camp!! :)

Eastern Blooms

I just love the way the Eastern Blooms stamp set looks! It really is elegant! I don't know if you can see it or not, but the flowers are embossed. The Floral Frenzy Classy Brass fits the flowers perfectly! I used pens to stamp the different colors. For the top card, I used Whisper White,Basic Black, Ruby Red and Pumpkin Pie card stock. Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red and Summer Sun Pens. For the card below, I used Basic Black, Whisper White, Basic Gray, and Sage Shadow card stock. I used Certainly Celery and Sage Shadow Pens. I love the looks the markers give on this card. Now... off to organize for stamp camp! Happy Stamping!

Just Jawing and Tasty Sweet

I like the printed paper from "Ghostly Greetings" so much that I almost left the card without the lovely skeleton from the stamp set "Just Jawing"!! I added the glasses. Not sure if I like them or not. You will see more of this cute set. Here I used the chalkboard technique for the candy corns. I stamped everything with the Whisper White Craft pad and then used chalks to color in the candy corns. I went outside the lines with the chalk and I kind of like it that way. Kiwi Kiss is the background card stock and Kiwi Kiss ribbon. I just love Halloween!! Yay!! :)

Holiday Treasures

You know, when I first saw this paper, I wasn't too keen on the Chocolate Chip color in the "Holiday Treasures" 12X12 paper packet, but the more I see it, the more I like it! Here is the first Christmas card of the year from me. I used the "Punches Three" level I hostess stamp set(love it!!). Even though the color combo for the paper used Ruby Red, I used Riding Hood Red as the base of my card. I did use Ruby Red for the smaller square. Baja Breeze and Old Olive were the other two card stock colors. The Chocolate Chip ribbon is retired. This is the first time I have tried that sort of bow. Don't know what it is called, but it sure looks nice and crisp. I can't believe that we are starting to think about Christmas already!! Wow! I need to get my stampin' elf buddies started early this year!
Happy Holidays!

More Chills and Thrills Rub Ons

I finally got a chance to use my new Cuttlebug Spiderweb folder. The spider punch is from Martha Stewart's line and the saying is a rub on from the SU! "Chills and Thrills" group. Paper, of course, is SU!'s. I can't tell you enough how great the quality of Stampin' Up!'s card stock is. It truly is the best for making cards!! I am due to get my new Big Shot from SU! this Wednesday and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Unfortunately, that leaves me with trying to get rid of my Cuttlebug. It isn't even a year old. I wish I new SU! was going to be doing business with Sizzex!! Oh well, I love the new stuff. Have a happy day!

Chills and Thrills

I just love Halloween! Maybe it is because it is during fall, which is my favorite season? Maybe because my childhood memories of Halloween are so special? I don't know, but I love everything about it! I also love working with rub ons! The "Chills and Thrills" rub ons are so cute! You will be seeing more with them in the up coming weeks. The "Ghostly Greetings" paper pack is great too! The tag on the bag was made from the "Batty for You" stamp set. Oh, so many fun things to make! Happy Haunting!! ;)

Convention Demo

Here is a copy of the fun card my upline, Angie, made for me from convention. I love how fun the inside is. It gets a little tedious to make, but the end result is cute!!

Envelope Card

I first saw a sample of this card here, and I had to try it out! This is made out of Stampin' Up!'s open ended envelopes, folded in half. How fun it pull out a secret note from the tab.
Isn't the paper just gorgeous!! The paper comes from the "Parisian Summer" 12x12 paper packet.

August Stamp Camp

Here are 3 more of the cards we made at stamp camp today!! I felt like making a transparency card and here is what I came up with. You might notice a similar layout in the front few pages of the new catalog. I just love Riding Hood Red card stock!!
This is what I used:
Stamp Set: Party Hearty
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Pacific Point, Whisper White and White Glossy. Printed paper is from the Urban Garden packet.
Inks: Kiwi Kiss and Pacific Point
Riding Hood Red Ribbon
I fell in love with this paper and couldn't wait to use it on a card. The background paper is from Urban Garden as well! Isn't it gorgeous! Kiwi Kiss and Not Quite Navy, along with Baja Breeze are the card stock colors. The stamp set is "Cute and Curly, cut out perfectly with the new Curly Label Punch! I am thrilled that Stampin' Up! has made more punches to go perfectly with their stamp sets. Lastly, I added a felt flower from the Flower Fusion Too and a little bling.
Does this card look familiar? I copied the same layout from another card I made here. This time I used paper from the Hawaii Papaya packet. I really wasn't sure what colors to mix with it, so I went to this wonderful website that gives you color combinations with Stampin' Up! colors. Click here to check out this site . You will never be at a loss for a color combination for your cards again!!

Babies and Birthdays

My niece, Katelyn turned 15 this past Monday. She needed a more sophisticated card than the usual fun card I make for her. Happy Birthday, Kate!! XOXO!
My oldest niece had her baby girl, Brooklyn last week. Here is her card. The large scallop is from Spellbinders. I love the Nestablilites that they make!! I can't wait to meet Brooklyn in person! I am sad that my family is so far away! :(
Yes, I have a big family! My nephew Logan turned one on the 22nd. He is precious! He is all the way in California. Wish I lived closer to all my family members. It is hard being away, especially in times when someone is sick. These are happy cards, though! :)

Love This Color Combo!

My upline, Angie, made me a card while she was at convention with this color combo and layout, so I used it in a card for a friend that is moving to Utah! (But hey, maybe I can visit if I ever make it to convention! ) Going to miss you, Tracy!! :( Stamp Camp won't be the same without you!!

I am not going to show you the cool card that Angie made yet, because we will be making it at stamp camp!! I just loved it!! Thank you, Angie!

The color combo (which I probably would have never used without seeing it first) is: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Cameo Coral! So cool!!

Kinley is getting bigger! He is now heavier than Harley! He is so funny and animated, we can't help but laugh at him! Of course, Harley,(the serious one) just looks at him like he is stupid. He was so excited to be on a chair like Harley!!

Look at the way he is looking at Taylor!! He looks like he is carrying on a conversation with her!! LOL!

Heard From the Heart! Sneak Peek #4

Do you know what I love about this set? First off, I have always loved the old sets, similar to this one, with this long cursive writing, but I really love the fact that the extra words are already on there and I don't have to pull out my Stamp-a-majig to line-up and add the extra sayings!!! If I don't want the extra words, I can just use my pens and leave them off!! Quick and easy, that is the way I like it! Think of all the cute cards you can make with this set!

Sock Monkey - Sneak Peek #3!

Remember sock monkeys?!! Taylor got a pair of jammies at Target last winter with sock monkeys on them. They have made a comeback!! The first ones that I remember were made out of those thick winter socks that you wore with your "clutter boots" (leather hiking boots) and down vests and Levi button up jeans!! Yes, this brought back many old memories of growing up in Colorado!! You southerners probably have no idea what I am talking about!! Ha Ha!

I really like this set. It went great with the new Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red card stock and Bella Rose paper. Oh, what fun to use for birthdays!! I wish my catalogs would get here! I want more, more, more!!!!

Happy Father's Day!

I had fun making this group of Father's Day cards. My husband and his father both play tennis, so I used the Just Tennis stamp set. I wasn't paying attention when using the ticket punch on the corners and made a mistake, but covered it up using the word window punch and added a little bling. I think it turned out kind of cute!! Sometimes mistakes lead to more creativity!!

This card is for my father, who doesn't play tennis... It's okay, Dad!! ;)

This one is my husband!! Love ya, Mark!!

My Boys!

This is as close as I can get Harley to sit next to Kinley! As much as Harley is enjoying having a playmate, he hasn't quite relaxed enough to pose for a picture next to the little stinker.
Oh, how I just love kissing this little guy. Just look at him! We laugh because we call Harley our straight "A" student and Kinley.... well, his personality is like the "surfer/party dude". He just cracks us up! He is doing well moving around. He gets his stitches out Monday, so we will have to see what the vet says. His hind leg is shorter than the other and a little limp. I hope is gets stronger. No matter what, we just love this little dude!

A Sample of May Stamp Camp Cards

I really love how this card turned out. I made this card using bold brights, but I just had to change it to a softer color for stamp camp and I am glad that I did. Here is what I used:
Stamp Set: Big Birthday Candle
Card Stock: Sage Shadow, Certainly Celery and Whisper White
Ink and Markers: Basic Black Pad, Sage Shadow, Certainly Celery and So Saffron Markers
Ribbon: Certainly Celery
Silver Brads
Pop Up Dots
Sticky Strip for the ribbon

I got the idea for this card from....? I swear it was Nicole Heady's website, but as I searched her site to give her credit, I cannot find it! She used Basic Grey paper and of course here I used Stampin' Up! paper.
This is the actual card we made at stamp camp. I just love the "Summer Picnic" Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog. This picture or the mini catalog do not do the set of paper justice. Here is what I used:
Stamp Set: It's Your Birthday
Card Stock: Basic Black, Real Red and Whisper White
Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper
Real Red grosgrain ribbon
Horizontal Slot Punch
Nestabilites

Clean and Simple

While the husband is away, I don't worry, I just stamp and scrap!!! I am working on a small scrapbook that I made for Father's Day for my husband. I can't wait to share it with you!
Since I am not finished with it, I pulled out this card that I made several weeks ago. I still like it! I love the clean and simple look. This is another card with the SU! stamp set All Holiday. I think I will use it next time I scrapbook some pictures of friends. I used Basic Black card stock, ink and grosgrain ribbon coupled with Sahara Sand card stock. I can't wait to continue scrapping tomorrow morning!!
