A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A STAMPER...
I WILL TRY TO CHANGE THE NAME BACK TO THE ORIGINAL LATER, BUT FOR NOW, YOU CAN FIND ME HERE!
SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION! :(
The secret to having it all, is believing you already do!
Just a quick post of a card I made for my nephew, Brad. He is turning 12! Happy Birthday, Brad!! Now, got to go get it in the mail!Labels: Birthday
This bag is a sample of the goodie bags I made for my stamp campers last week! I started to make a little homemade treat of Peanut Clusters but my chocolate burned! That has never happened to me before! :( So I ran out and bought some peanut brittle to put in the bags. The little stamp is from the "Yummy" stamp set in the Sale-a-bration mini catalog that you can see here.
Aren't these great? Alison always does such a great job with her cards! As a matter of fact, she will be making a card for us to do at our March Stamp Camp. I can't wait to see what she comes up with! Thanks for sharing, Alison!!Labels: Alison's Share
The new DS paper Rockability is so awesome! The gloss on the paper is so cool! I wish you could see it better from this card. The whole packet is great! The new eyelet border punch is also a new favorite of mine! Each catalog they are coming up with some new things that I just love and this is one of those things! The stamp set is "Big on Spring".
As much as I love deep purple, I never seem to use Elegant Eggplant card stock or ink. I stick with the same old favorites. I forced myself to make this card and actually it turned out pretty good. The silver balls actually look like pearl in this picture, but the compliment the color well. The stamp sets I used were "On Your Birthday" and "Doodle This".
Here is that nifty little box again! I think the gals had a good time making this. The scallop circle stamp is from the set "Love You Much". We used blender pens and ink pads to softly color it in. The tag saying came from the Sale-a-bration set "Yummy"!!
I love the simplicity of this card. This card is a good design if you need to make multiples!! The "Fifth Avenue Floral" stamp set is my new favorite. The DS paper the coordinates with this is Urban Oasis. It is sheik and fresh! Especially with these two colors!! I think I will make more of this card and send them to a friend!! :D
What can I say about not only the great color palate of DS paper "Raspberry Tart", but the wonderful, beautiful new stamp set "Branch Out". I will use this stamp set for many years to come!Labels: February Stamp Camp Cards

Check out this new "Jack Pot" Designer Serier paper and "Game Night" stamp set. The "You're Invited" came from "Sincere Salutations". I guess I could have printed up a whole mock invitation, but I just left it blank. I just love this paper! There is so much you can do with it. I can't wait to use it for Bunko at my house in February. I am not sure what for yet, but I will figure something out! I can't wait for you all to see the new catalog! I am sure you will start sticky noting every page like I did! Labels: Game Night

I am so pleased with this card. It is from the stamp set "Happy Heart Day". I surprised myself! The cardstock is Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and the DS paper from the Bella Rose paper packet. The ribbon is also Kiwi Kiss. Have a great winter day! :)Labels: Valentines

This is about one of the easiest boxes that I have ever made! Can you believe that this box is made out of this little hand-dandy envelope from our Sizzix die cuts. Click here to see what envelope I am talking about. Click here to view the die itself. The stamp set is from the "Love You Much" Valentine Bundle. I used my blender pen with Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette stamp pads. The stamp perfectly fits the scallop circle, so it was so very easy to make this box look cute! We will be making this cute box or one similar to it at this month's stamp camp. From what I understand, we are getting some great new dies for the Big Shot in this new catalog. I just got word that my catalogs shipped. I will be anxiously waiting for my favorite man in that big brown truck! I am looking forward to seeing you all on the 21st! Until then, happy stamping!!Labels: Valentines
Sorry this picture is a little crooked. I had the retired set "Celtic Knots" for sale last week and no one picked it up. Thankfully for me, because I needed for this Sympathy card. My friend lost her Grandmother this weekend. :( Once again I pulled out that Night of Navy card stock and paired it with Old Olive. The "with sympathy" came with the Beautiful Borders set. I was making cards this weekend and am not sure I am too happy with any of them. I will decide whether or not to share them today.. Have a good one!Labels: Sympathy

My dear friend, Cathy made 3 sets of cards to give out as gifts during our work day, today! Aren't they great? All paper, no stamps. What a great way to use your paper and allow the cards to be used however the receiver wants to by leaving them blank! Perfect! I believe this paper was from the Spring Silhouettes Designer Series paper pack from the Spring and Summer catalog. Love how she incorporated the scallop edge punch into the design! What a productive day, Cathy!! :)Labels: Blank Note Cards
This morning is the last of my stamp camps until January. It isn't really a stamp camp, it is a work day and I will be working on my cards as well. I made these two cards late last night and I can't decide if I like either of them enough to send to my family. I do love the red and cream striped ribbon!! I also like this tree a little too much. Maybe I need to try a different stamp set? Of course the ones that I send to everyone else will be much less detailed and will include of picture of my daughter with the dogs. I guess I will go back to the drawing boards.Labels: Christmas
As much as I love the fall and all it's colors, Thanksgiving cards are probably the hardest for me to put together. Maybe it is because there isn't ever any real awesome Thanksgiving stamps? I started one and it was way too detailed to make 8 of, which is how many different families there are in my family, so I settled for something a bit easier. The Frosty Day paper was perfect for something "not so" traditional. That paper set reminds me of some real great colorful scarves. I used two retired sets to make this card.. SHHHH! I know! The words came from last years "Dotted Autumn" set and the pine cone came from...ahhh...give me a couple of hours to get back to the craft room to list it. It's too early and I need my coffee first. LOL! Anyway, I water colored the pine cone in with Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip. Wow! I better go get my coffee! Be back in a couple of hours. :)Labels: Thanksgiving

I have been making so many holiday cards that I wanted to take a break and since a good friend of mine is having a birthday, it gave me an excuse to break free from the holidays for an hour or so... I have always loved blues and greens together. The "Green Tea" paper is just so pretty!! Don't you think? I made the second card just because I had all the paper out. :)

I reprinted this picture of Taylor and her cousin, Katelyn for another sample. Look how easy it is to personalize the inside of the card with a personalized name stamp! You can see the personalized name stamp options on page 159 of the catalog. Start thinking about what you might need so that you can get your cards done in time!! Christmas is just around the corner!! :)

Okee dokee! So, Monday was probably the most frazzled I have ever been preparing for a stamp camp... Don't know why, I just was. This little project (which I saw here) never got done in advance, so I ended up making it for the first time in front of the group... Not usually like me! Sorry gals!!

Okay, so I saw this cute little turkey in a Stampin' Up! magazine that I get every month. For the feathers, they used the scallop punch and folded it to make it look 3 dimensional. My sample didn't turn out so cute. Glue was caked everywhere! I was about to give up when I thought I might try the 5-petal flower punch and voila! It worked!! I am sure you all can figure out what punches I used to make this fella, so I won't list them... Gobble, gobble!!Labels: Punched Turkey
I think these are my favorite cards because I just love, love, love this Christmas tree stamp from "Snow Swirled" on page 32 of the regular catalog. There is just no way to mess it up! It is gorgeous all by itself. This first card, I think, looks great with the "Ski Slope" designer series paper in the background.

My mother-in-law, Cathy, is very creative! She has been stamping for about as long as I have, but has been on a little hiatus because she didn't have the proper space to work. We all know that it is a pain to drag out boxes every time we need to make a card. So, this room has been a long time comin'! My father-in-law, Bill, just finished this wonderful new craft closet in a walk-in closet in their house! I am so excited for her. She even got new hardwood floors in the space. This goes to show you that you don't need a lot of room to have a good workspace.

This was fun to make and so easy! The test tubes came from Michaels. I knew I wanted to use them, but was having the hardest time finding something fun to do with them... then I spotted this on Lisa Summerville's blog. Click here to find her pattern. I modified the pattern to fit one test tube. I will post the pattern shortly.
Didn't this card turn out cute? This is my favorite card that we made today. I love the colors and the glitter!!
Isn't it amazing what you can create with punches. Here we used all 3 oval punches, the word window punch and the horizontal slot punch. This card reminds me of the pumpkin patch in the Charlie Brown Halloween movie. Thanks for a fun day, ladies! Mark your calendars for October's stamp camp!! :) Labels: Halloween
I just love the way the Eastern Blooms stamp set looks! It really is elegant! I don't know if you can see it or not, but the flowers are embossed. The Floral Frenzy Classy Brass fits the flowers perfectly! I used pens to stamp the different colors. For the top card, I used Whisper White,Basic Black, Ruby Red and Pumpkin Pie card stock. Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red and Summer Sun Pens. For the card below, I used Basic Black, Whisper White, Basic Gray, and Sage Shadow card stock. I used Certainly Celery and Sage Shadow Pens. I love the looks the markers give on this card. Now... off to organize for stamp camp! Happy Stamping!

I like the printed paper from "Ghostly Greetings" so much that I almost left the card without the lovely skeleton from the stamp set "Just Jawing"!! I added the glasses. Not sure if I like them or not. You will see more of this cute set.
Here I used the chalkboard technique for the candy corns. I stamped everything with the Whisper White Craft pad and then used chalks to color in the candy corns. I went outside the lines with the chalk and I kind of like it that way. Kiwi Kiss is the background card stock and Kiwi Kiss ribbon. I just love Halloween!! Yay!! :)Labels: Halloween
You know, when I first saw this paper, I wasn't too keen on the Chocolate Chip color in the "Holiday Treasures" 12X12 paper packet, but the more I see it, the more I like it! Here is the first Christmas card of the year from me. I used the "Punches Three" level I hostess stamp set(love it!!). Even though the color combo for the paper used Ruby Red, I used Riding Hood Red as the base of my card. I did use Ruby Red for the smaller square. Baja Breeze and Old Olive were the other two card stock colors. The Chocolate Chip ribbon is retired. This is the first time I have tried that sort of bow. Don't know what it is called, but it sure looks nice and crisp. I can't believe that we are starting to think about Christmas already!! Wow! I need to get my stampin' elf buddies started early this year!Labels: Christmas

Look at what Alison has been up to!! Alison is so creative! I just love how she used the "Wonderful Words" stamp set at the stem of her flowers! Alison, you need your own blog. She also has some of the best scrap book pages that I have ever seen! Thank you for sharing!!Labels: Alison's Share

I just love Halloween! Maybe it is because it is during fall, which is my favorite season? Maybe because my childhood memories of Halloween are so special? I don't know, but I love everything about it! I also love working with rub ons! The "Chills and Thrills" rub ons are so cute! You will be seeing more with them in the up coming weeks. The "Ghostly Greetings" paper pack is great too! The tag on the bag was made from the "Batty for You" stamp set. Oh, so many fun things to make! Happy Haunting!! ;)Labels: Rub Ons

I first saw a sample of this card here, and I had to try it out! This is made out of Stampin' Up!'s open ended envelopes, folded in half. How fun it pull out a secret note from the tab.

I fell in love with this paper and couldn't wait to use it on a card. The background paper is from Urban Garden as well! Isn't it gorgeous! Kiwi Kiss and Not Quite Navy, along with Baja Breeze are the card stock colors. The stamp set is "Cute and Curly, cut out perfectly with the new Curly Label Punch! I am thrilled that Stampin' Up! has made more punches to go perfectly with their stamp sets. Lastly, I added a felt flower from the Flower Fusion Too and a little bling.
Does this card look familiar? I copied the same layout from another card I made here. This time I used paper from the Hawaii Papaya packet. I really wasn't sure what colors to mix with it, so I went to this wonderful website that gives you color combinations with Stampin' Up! colors. Click here to check out this site . You will never be at a loss for a color combination for your cards again!!Labels: August Stamp Camp
My niece, Katelyn turned 15 this past Monday. She needed a more sophisticated card than the usual fun card I make for her. Happy Birthday, Kate!! XOXO!
My oldest niece had her baby girl, Brooklyn last week. Here is her card. The large scallop is from Spellbinders. I love the Nestablilites that they make!! I can't wait to meet Brooklyn in person! I am sad that my family is so far away! :(
Yes, I have a big family! My nephew Logan turned one on the 22nd. He is precious! He is all the way in California. Wish I lived closer to all my family members. It is hard being away, especially in times when someone is sick. These are happy cards, though! :)Labels: Birthdays and Babies

My upline, Angie, made me a card while she was at convention with this color combo and layout, so I used it in a card for a friend that is moving to Utah! (But hey, maybe I can visit if I ever make it to convention! ) Going to miss you, Tracy!! :( Stamp Camp won't be the same without you!!
I am not going to show you the cool card that Angie made yet, because we will be making it at stamp camp!! I just loved it!! Thank you, Angie!
The color combo (which I probably would have never used without seeing it first) is: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Cameo Coral! So cool!!

Kinley is getting bigger! He is now heavier than Harley! He is so funny and animated, we can't help but laugh at him! Of course, Harley,(the serious one) just looks at him like he is stupid. He was so excited to be on a chair like Harley!!

These are pictures of the roses in our yard late this spring. They looked so beautiful, I had to take pictures. My dear friend, Alison, showed us this mosaic technique at her monthly crop and I thought these pictures would work well. I was so excited about how they turned out, I just had to share!! I can't wait to do more!!! Labels: Mosaic
Do you know what I love about this set? First off, I have always loved the old sets, similar to this one, with this long cursive writing, but I really love the fact that the extra words are already on there and I don't have to pull out my Stamp-a-majig to line-up and add the extra sayings!!! If I don't want the extra words, I can just use my pens and leave them off!! Quick and easy, that is the way I like it! Think of all the cute cards you can make with this set!

Remember sock monkeys?!! Taylor got a pair of jammies at Target last winter with sock monkeys on them. They have made a comeback!! The first ones that I remember were made out of those thick winter socks that you wore with your "clutter boots" (leather hiking boots) and down vests and Levi button up jeans!! Yes, this brought back many old memories of growing up in Colorado!! You southerners probably have no idea what I am talking about!! Ha Ha!

Wow! What a crazy week for me. I did my monthly stamp camp on Monday, and on Tuesday I did a girls camp. I am also trying to get my daughter ready for an overnight bball camp. So, while the laundry is in the dryer, I thought I would do a quick post of the 4 cards we made at the girls camp. I preordered personalized name stamps for each of the girls from SU!, of course, and this is what they did.

I really love how this card turned out. I made this card using bold brights, but I just had to change it to a softer color for stamp camp and I am glad that I did. Here is what I used:
I got the idea for this card from....? I swear it was Nicole Heady's website, but as I searched her site to give her credit, I cannot find it! She used Basic Grey paper and of course here I used Stampin' Up! paper.
This is the actual card we made at stamp camp. I just love the "Summer Picnic" Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog. This picture or the mini catalog do not do the set of paper justice. Here is what I used:Labels: Birthday

I had so much fun with these pictures of Taylor! This is one of those times she actually had fun posing for pictures! Usually, it's "Mom, enough already!" I also love having a photo printer where I can make multiple copies of the same picture. I used them at the bottom of the page on the "Princess Page".
While the husband is away, I don't worry, I just stamp and scrap!!! I am working on a small scrapbook that I made for Father's Day for my husband. I can't wait to share it with you! Labels: So Simple
